Thinking of Father's Day!!

I spent the whole day today remembering all of the men that have had a profound effect upon my life and my gratitude towards them! No I'm not going to bore you with my memories
but I hope that you have had great male teachers and mentors that have aided you in your life's development!

Father's day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in my country.

Having said that, I take time to honor all those men who have been a part of what I am now.

Most of all, I honor my late dad. He died at a ripe old age of 89 and I still feel in my heart that I could have done more for him when he was alive. He was a disciplinarian. A lawyer. A politician. A businessman. A visionary. But I will always remember him as my father. I despised the way he brought me up when I was young in the sense that I thought he was too strict. However, now that I have 5 sons myself, I cannot imagine raising and disciplining them in another way than the manner my father had raised me. His way was indeed the best. Not perfect though, but the best, for me. God bless all fathers!

My Grandfather ( He had three sons and six daughters ) used to always say that raising boys was easy -all you have to do with them is to kick their behinds when they need it! Girls however will give you ulcers and gray hair!!

He Taught Me To Be Open And Able To Listen The Thoughts Of All Who Had Something Relevant To Say Or Relevant To Teach Irregardless Of Skin Color, Religion, Or Nationality!!
