    Prison or Counter Intelligence

In the movies, people like this 19 year old genius gets to be arrested and then asked to work for government.

Is this me just watching too many movies or are they really doing it?

I saw an article the other day that said they are actually doing it. This isn't the exact article I saw but it's the same content.

    Yes they do.
I'm including 2 links to the stories.
Seems they were recruiting at Defcon using a secretive team according to the first article.

However the second article kind of negates some of the stories.
Seems that outdated laws prevent the government from hiring most hackers so they are paying tuition and board for any student willing to work for the government after they graduate.

    I knew it!

I remember somebody told me that during the 2nd world war, they used the best of the best robbers who were imprisoned to steal documents from the then Japanese invaders here in our country in exchange for freedom after the war.
