Hello everyone,
I'm liquidfractal and I'm a PhD student in Canada. Not so long ago I made the leap from a shared hosting account to my own VPS (my provider made me an offer I couldn't refuse!), so I have now entered the world of Linux. I'm more or less a complete n00b (my oldskool DOS skills quickly reached their limit, although it helps navigating root access), so I will be asking all sorts of correspondingly n00bish questions.
