Just installed solar panels

How durable is the unit? Will it stand up to hail? I'm replacing my roof for the third time in 21 years due to hail damage.

I didn't ask about hail! But I don't think it's a great problem in this neck of the woods. I've certainly never seen a hailstorm severe enough to cause roof damage.

Over the last couple of days I've discovered that my fridge, freezer, TV and computer can run off solar alone. Ditto the electric pump on my central heating. The immersion heater for my hot water tank requires grid power.

@arespi: The panels make about 5 Kwh per day, more when the sun shines. There are eight of them connected in two lines of four. I can't tell you the dimensions because I don't have documentation on them but I can give you a link to the inverter spec:
