    [SOLVED] Permissions info

    While I'm not a member of them, I also eyeball a few other Linux oriented forums, and this seems to be a matter of confusion for new users.

    I thought that since we have had some questions about permissions, sticky bits and other such, maybe a reference to an old post would be useful:
