Anyone use InstaLinux to create a distro? Your thoughts?
InstaLinux is a tool to create your own distro via choices. Google it and find it at it's own dot com.
It looks neat but doesn't have a lot of documentation aside from an explanation of it's seedfile in the main blog.
Has anyone used this and if so, what are your thoughts on it?
Can you offer some tips for things that are not documented?
Thanks.

Isn't that more of a Linux installer than it is a "create your own distro" type tool?

Could be but I got the info off of a TuxRadar article called "How to create your own Linux distro." They suggested one could use this tool to create your own distro.
I just tried it and did get a copy of unbuntu to install in a VM but it would not load after installation was finished, no errors just a blank screen.
Seems this tool lets you pick from several options for setup and distro type to use for your base and then gives you an iso with that configuration info on it. You run the iso and it installs all the bits and pieces via the internet. If I could get this to work, I could then customize my base install then wrap it up in a live cd installer thingie
but so far i can't get it to work
