can someone explain the core idea of Joli OS to me?
I have Joli OS running on my netbook. I really started thinking about it and now I'm just confused.
the applications are internet-based, unless you run installed applications from terminal. how is this any different than another linux distro where the user just uses web-based applications most of the time, and native applications when needed? i don't understand how it's any different.
any help would be appreciated!
thanks,

Hello and Welcome.
Linux distros don't run software from the cloud, you install them to your hard drive just like in Windows and Macs. As far as I know, Jolicloud was the first to offer this service. If not the first, they are the most popular.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
