Demotion Requested
Hey, everyone... just a quick heads up so you will know what's going on.
I've posted in the admin forum requesting a user status demotion. After administering these forums for the last 6 years I'm tired and ready for a rest, so I've requested that one of the other forum admins reduce my status to regular "Member". I am hoping to continue posting and helping others with their Linux systems whenever I can, but I'm ready to turn the admin reins over to someone else.
Thanks to all of you for the support for all these years!
Will see you on the forums...

From what I experienced here, you did a good job in technical aspects as well as unbiased moderation.
Thank you for that

You did an outstanding job from what I could see. Glad to see you will still be hanging around.

Well, I hate to hear that you are stepping down, but sometimes it's a good thing to just step back from things.
Take your rest, oz. It's well deserved after all you've done to help all of us

It's a shame to see you go Oz but six years is a long time to be an admin on a busy site. Glad you'll still be around though.

You have done a good job along with other admins of this forum. I think its a good decision, because you are getting tired after 6 long years.

just a quick update
Hey, fellow forum members... to prevent any confusion, I wanted to let you all know that there has been a change of plans, and I'm going to continue administering the forums. The initial notice of resignation wasn't a gag or anything, but some things came about that made me reconsider the situation.
Many thanks to each of you for the well wishes that you've posted above, and I look forward to continuing to see and work with all of you right here on the forums.
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread at this point since it has no further practical use.
Thanks again!oz
