Linux - Windows - Linux
Hi,

I'm very new to Linux, (and love it!) I have Win7 on my laptop, and my son has installed Linux with Ubuntu 11.04 which I find great. He has now gone back to his family and left me to make my way around Linux on my own! I would now like to access my docs library, in Windows, from Ubuntu. Is this possible, or even better - easy? I will need very simple instructions but willing to have a go!!
Can other libraries be accessed in the same way?
I would be most grateful for any help.

You should be able to access documents and Ubuntu may already be setup to do this for you ...
open a terminal and type
and post the output hereCode:mount

Lot's of good tips here for a new user. The section for your query is covered I think in http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...System-Startup
Edit: Follow Jonathan183 post above mine. Since i am not sure if you are running Gnome Classic or Unity Deskktop.Last edited by rokytnji; 09-10-2011 at 02:16 PM.

Thank you both so much. I have printed out the instructions and am about to see if I can make them work!! I have the Unity Desktop (I think). I will come back if I come up with any more problems, but the techsupportalert.com website seems great.
Many thanks again,
