guys I have a small question I want to ask ..
I would like to make a distro for Pc and cloud or a distro for tablet ... I want to learn how to make a distro and modify it to fit Pc or tablet..can you guys give me some materials or ideas so i can learn about it


also I want to know how can i take a linux distro and modify it to make a new distro
sry about my lot talk but I am really dtrying to do it as a project in my collage so pzl pzl help me

Be aware, that creating a new distribution is a lot of work, especially the maintenance.

thanks alote and what about creating a new one for m an existing one like the disrto called core or ubuntu w these stuff??

If you want to create a fork, then the basics are done.
But you will then need a way to sync with the upstream distribution.
Your idea seems a bit vague to me.
Maybe going through a linuxfromscratch install once provides a basis for you.
Then you can better judge, if an own distribution is the right project.You must always face the curtain with a bow.

Have a look into remastersys, it may be a good starting point for you.

A fork (besides the obvious, being a utility you eat with; that has 3 prongs on the end and is often made of metal) is the split of 1 distro into 2 seperate distro's that are based of the same source & foundations but end up having different long term & short term objectives i.e. desktop, workstation, server etc... a good example is NetBSD and OpenBSD.

Install a distro, set it up just how you want and make an installable live CD from it using remastersys.
