I have converted one i gave him ubuntu 11.04 for his netbook it cant find his wireless drivers right now i hope he just has to connect to the internet and click add additional drivers so he doesnt have to run the script i give him and make things complicated on him. I really want him to like it lol. I booted ubuntu live from my flash drive in class the other day and my friend was amazed so i might have another one coming

Sometimes, you might not really know for sure how many you've converted because those users that try Linux then leave it will nearly always return to it and give it another try at some point in time. In addition, someone that you have converted in the past might have later dropped Linux and returned to their previous OS. Overall, I think it's very hard to know for sure how many you've converted unless you have some kind of running scorecard that is updated regularly.

To be honest I really don't like the word "convert" it makes me think like this is some kind of religious war. I have convinced 3 people to try out Linux, and all of them stuck with it. Also I do carry around a text file on a flash drive that explains why I don't use windows.

I haven't converted anyone yet, but I was converted by three or four people
I know more people with notebooks with Linux than people with Mac books *haha* But it has some advantages, therefore it was easy to be convinced.
I think a friend of mine gets also some interest in it now, since she worked on my computer once! ^^

Just yesterday, I had four guys on the counter in my restaurant discussing the fact that nothing was truly "free." I took up the opportunity and said. "Ah, but there is! But, even when something is free and very useful, most people still won't take the time to acclimate to it if it's different than what they're used to." This got their interest up so I explained all the advantages of using Linux. One was interested enough to say he was going to Google it when he got home.

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
