The storm hit us pretty bad and such a tragic time to happen when our country was just preparing to celebrate Christmas. Our island was spared though but it was a pretty close call. the worst areas affected, Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City are areas that are not used to dealing with typhoons since it is very seldom indeed that a typhoon passes their way. Sad to say people were caught unaware and as they prepared to sleep for the night, the rain & flood came and took over 1,000 lives with it. Many were displaced from their homes too.
