This one is a martial arts comedy that is very much over the top, but fun and entertaining.

Highly recommended if you are a fan of such movies!
I loved Shaolin Soccer, will be checking this out - thanks!

Yep, if you liked Shaolin Soccer you will most likely enjoy Kung Fu Hustle as well, and it definitely has some repeated viewing value for me, so I've added it to my home movie collection!

    Finally! We got to see
    Cowboys & Aliens (2011) - IMDb
Our son and I enjoyed it, the wife left about halfway through.*Sigh* GIRLS?!
I agree with the 6 out of 10 rating although I would have no problem giving it a solid 7 rating.

My wife thought Cowboys & Aliens was okay, but I pretty much enjoyed it. I did feel that it had the potential to be better, though.

yeah, my wife dragged me to that one...turns out i loved it. and i really liked the girl who played Katniss (great name, too). i ended up reading all 3 books after that (just finished the 3rd one a couple days ago).

the only thing in the movie i didn't like was the style of the shooting (the camera, not the bow) from the beginning up until they entered the arena: you know, the shaky MTV type of thing. i get what they were trying to do, but it felt out of place to me. otherwise, a great flick.

From what I read earlier today, Jennifer Lawrence is already setup to play the role of Katniss again in the next movie of the trilogy, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) - IMDb

If you like her, you might also want to check out Winter's Bone:

    Winter's Bone (2010) - IMDb

Of course, she also played the role of a younger Mystique in X-men: Last Stand and is set to play that part in the upcoming X-men: Days of Future Past.

She's suddenly a very busy lady, and rightfully so...

Just finished watching a 1992 film called Baraka:

    Baraka (1992) - IMDb

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baraka_(film)

This one was really interesting because there are no actors, there is no plot, and there is no dialog... not even a background narrator. Instead, you get to see some beautiful cinematography, hear some great music, and see some things that you've probably never seen before, and on those things that you might have seen, you likely haven't seen them quite like this. It's all left to the viewer to decipher it all and generate your own thoughts and feelings from what you've seen and heard.

Truly amazing in its own way, and highly recommended!
