    In anticipation of Skyfall (2012), I just watched Quantum of Solace (2008). It is no Casino Royale (2006), but it was okay. The chase scene in the beginning of QOS was reminiscent of the one w/the bomb maker in CR, but fell way short. The villain did not quite inspire fear, loathing, and intimidation, like all Bond nemeses should. The plot itself was also kind of ho-hum.

    However, IMHO, D Craig IS Bond, as he proves again in this flick, and his performance makes it watchable.

    @ atreyu: I'm looking forward to Skyfall, too, and agree that Craig has nailed the role of Agent 007, James Bond.

    @ all: I watched Moonrise Kingdom last night: Moonrise Kingdom (2012) - IMDb

    It was a pretty good comedy/romance movie, but not really the type of movie that I usually watch, although I did think newcomer, Kara Hayward, was excellent portraying the role of Suzy. If you like Wes Anderson films, you should like this one.

    Daniel Craigs portrayal of Bond is probably the closest to the Bond as written by Ian Fleming but the Roger Moore films are still the best!

    According to the poll found at the webpage linked below, Sean Connery is still by far the best (or most popular?) Agent 007:

    James Bond: who was the best 007? | Film | guardian.co.uk

    It looks like Craig is trailing him as the second place candidate with about 24% less of the total votes thus far.

    i'd probably go along w/that.

    @elija,
    I grew up w/Roger Moore as Bond, so yeah, I know what you mean.

    Not sure, but I think Jaws was probably my favorite bad-guy character from that period:

    Starring the Lovely Blake Lively. A pretty good love story....with a twist. I found it very pleasant.

    I went to the Staten Island Mall today hoping to buy some floppy disks but no one bothers to sell them anymore. I bought a couple of DVD's instead. First I watched some " macho-mania " in Sly Stallone's The Expendables and then I watched Kurt Russel's The Thing!! They were both worth the money I paid for them!

    If you liked The Expendables, you'll probably like The Expendables 2 as well because most think it's a bit better than the first one. Unfortunately, it's not out on DVD/Blu-ray just yet.

    Yeah, The Thing is truly a great movie! It creeps me out no matter how many times I watch it.

    Regarding Blake Lively... I had no interest in The Green Lantern movie but bought it only because she was in it (she was looking good, too)!
