Seen any good movies lately? (2012)

Earlier this evening, I watched The Amazing Spider-man and found it to be quite entertaining:

I personally liked this one a bit better than any of the three previous Spider-man movies.

I watched Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter the other night:

If you enjoy vampire movies, you might like this one, as it turned out better than what I expected. In my opinion, the 6.0 score voted by others at the database is fairly accurate.

I watched Taken once again a couple of nights ago:

Taken (2008) - IMDb

If you like action movies, this one is definitely worth at least a rental. The only weird part of the movie is that the daughter is played by a women who looks to be in her mid-twenties, and she's playing the part of a 17-year old girl that acts more like a 7-year old. That's not to say that she didn't do a good job of acting because she did. Anyway, it fully deserves the 7.9 user rating it has at the database.


Edit: oh, and I've heard that Taken 2 is not nearly as good as the first movie.

Yeah, I was alone in a really dark room to watch this one, and there were a few moments that it was freaking me out!

Just watched Rise of the Guardians (2012), and it was pretty good. Who wouldn't like a Santa w/a thick Russian accent who sports "Naughty" and "Nice" tats on his forearms and rocks dual swords? The Easter Bunny from Down Under was great, too. It was not a side-splitter, but it was a good story and the animation was awesome. Jack Frost looks like a real person in some scenes.

Worth the watch, though I don't think *any* movie is worth the theater admission these days...

Just finished watching Warrior:

Warrior (2011) - IMDb

I knew going in that this one was supposed to be really good, but this film was great! The story and the acting were fantastic, and I'd venture to say that even those that aren't interested in martial arts would like this film. You end up going through a really wide range of emotions while watching this one. Highly recommended!

I been wondering about this one. Haven't got around to watching it, but really looking forward to it.
