I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.

I grew up just a few miles from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (shown in the early scenes of the film).
Yeah, I liked the Santa Cruz area - lived there for about a year, just up the street from Seabright Beach. You remember Hole-In-The-Wall beach, just a bit north of SC?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

They made up a town for it - Santa Carla - b/c they didn't want to freak out the Santa Cruzites, I guess.

Just watched The Matrix once again this afternoon, and it continues to be one of my all-time favorite movies:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Matrix

The story and soundtrack were awesome and I'll never forget seeing it for the first time on the big screen. From the moment the cops went in to arrest Trinity, and she performs what must be one of the best "tough girl" scenes ever put on film, this movie was clearly something very special. I'll probably never grow tired of watching it.

Too bad the sequels were such duds!

I *still* run matrix screensavers (linux and windows) whenever i can help it.

Yeah, that juxta-posed Trinity flying kick has been ripped off sooo many times since. I could watch the Kung Fu scene b/t Morpheus and Neo over and over and over again. The 2nd one was such a let-down that I never even bothered with the 3rd.

Yeah, they might not be the worst movie sequels ever, but I'd think they at least qualify as contenders.

I watched the third as I figured there was no way it could be as bad as the second. Boy was I ever wrong. I can't even watch the watch the original any more thanks to those.
    What do we want?
    Time machines!

    When do we want 'em?
    Doesn't really matter does it!?

Yeah that's the way it usually is with sequels. Aliens ( director's cut ) was better than Alien; but then the series went to pot.

I remember several beaches that you could call a Hole!
My favorite place, though, had to be Half Moon Bay.

I could probably handle watching the scenes with Kristen Stewart in them, but not so sure about the rest of it!
