I was having trouble with my computer so I called Richard, the 11 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.

Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?'

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'

Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'

    'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out. So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T

I used to like the little prick .

Similar to the blond that walked into an auto parts store.

    Blonde, "I need a 710."

The clerk wasn't sure what she was talking about, so he asked her "What is it for."

Blonde, "I don't know what it does, but it goes under the hood, and mine is missing."

Still baffled the clerk asked her to show him where it went, so she took him outside and raised her hood and pointed, "See it used to go there, but now it is missing."

It was all the clerk could do to keep a straight face, as he sold her an OIL cap.

That goes along with the ID 10 T error joke, which I have been using recently at work (thanks Roky) to good effect... usually in a self-deprecating way.
To paraphrase the late, great Groucho Marx, "Patient: It hurts when I do that! Groucho: Then don't do that."
