Ubuntu -- a worse flip flopper than most politicians ;)

    Hi All,

Reading up on new things to come with the next LTS from Canonical I found that Rhythmbox is replacing Banshee.....it took me nearly a year to accept Banshee and now Canonical chooses to go back to a piece of software that hasnt' been updated since 2009?? I don't get it. I read that Canonical and Banshee had a huge argument over the amazon music feature (and of course the money that came with it)....it's time to settle on a choice for at least a couple years, and preferably a choice that is still in development (Clementine comes to mind but there are other options)

Yeah. I gave up on Ubuntu after 9.04. It has just been going backwards as far as I can tell...

Wow. Is it such a big deal to replace a default app with the one you prefer? That's always one of the first things I do after a fresh install. It takes me about 5 minutes. I wouldn't switch distros over something that minor, provided everything else was as awesome as I find Xubuntu to be.

I agree with sidekick. If I like the distro, replacing their choice of a couple of aps with my favorites is no big deal.
