    Battlestar Galactica fans might enjoy the following video from Portlandia:

    The first part of the video is exactly what happened to me the first time I started watching BSG. Note that I didn't see it when it was originally broadcast on the air, so I watched it all on DVD like those in the video.

    That's kind of what happened with me and Caprica! I do have to say that BSG, the new series was really, really well done!

    I've ordered the entire series of Band of Brothers on blu-ray, and plan to start watching it soon:

    Band of Brothers (TV mini-series 2001) - IMDb

    I've never seen a single episode but have heard that it's really good, and as can be seen, it does have a very high rating at IMDB.


    Edit: okay, just finished the entire series and it is indeed a good show well worth the 10 hours spent watching it. While I wouldn't rate it as highly as the score shown on IMDB.com, it would be up there pretty high.

    I was never able to get into Caprica, but totally loved BSG.

    Regarding the Portlandia video posted above, I was hoping that maybe something really was in the works when I saw Edward James Olmos, James Callis, and the real Ronald D Moore appear in it.
