    Cool From Windows to MAC to Linux

    Originally lived in a windows world and have had this forced on me from the very start. Tried some of the earlier Linux distros but never had time to learn them but liked what I saw. Due to my photography passion I ended up with a MAC, the MAC has served me well but has bitten the bullet so now looking at Linux again. Linux has come a long way and I am now happily using Ubuntu 11.10 and gnome3 on my laptop and it suits all my needs.The children are a bit older and I find I now have some time to learn the Linux OS and command line.

    Now MAC isn't the only option for an OS with an amazing GUI and powerful command line.

    I hope to learn much from linuxforms.org and make many new friends.
