    Welcome to the forum. What distro's (version of linux) are you trying to install? What is your hardware?

    I'd really like to run Mint, but I've also tried slitaz and couldn't get that to work either, and the Mint Live Cd I made boots on my brothers computer but not mine. I just get a ton of SQUASHFS errors.
    I made a thread in the Mint Forum called 'Ugh... Boot Error', lol. (can't post links yet apparently)

    Are you running your mint cd as a live cd or trying to install it? Usually a live cd runs without problems. Try downloading and burning another copy of mint, burned at a slower speed.

    Some computers are more finicky about which distro they will run than others. Go to distrowatch.com and see if another version looks good to you. Antix, lubuntu, ubuntu (before the 11. series) and mint have been good on most of my equipment.

    @MASONTX Just booting from it as a live CD. I've checked the MD5sum, it checked out, so the downloads good
    I've tried Slitaz 3 as well, and it gave me pretty much the same error. Lubuntu looks good, I might download that tonight.

    @elija Thanks!
