Blackbox and fluxbox nice, but can't figure out how to access the net

I have lubuntu 10.04 on my old laptop, and decided to play around with afterstep, blackbox, fluxbox, and openbox tonight. My games and several aps showed up on all of them, but my documents, firefox, and some minor aps didn't show up. I really like the minimalist look and feel, but I in blackbox and fluxbox I can't figure out how to get on the net. What am I missing, or is it a terminal only type proposition with these minimal desktops? Under internet they show w3 as browser, but clicking on it does nothing.

    never mind, found it.

A few days ago Hazel talked about how when she posted a question, right after she figured it out. Happened to me. After posting this question I got around to clicking on PCfileMan and found the missing files, including firefox.
