    Favorite light weight office aps

For a full blown system I like Open office, or if it isn't in the repository, libre office. There are times, however, when lightweight office aps would be more appropriate, such as on older limited hardware. I've used Abiword for word processing and liked it, but was wondering what the members favorite word, data base manager, presenter, and spread sheet aps were for low resource situateions.

LO and OO are both far more powerful and include way more tools than I would use, so I generally install Abiword and it does all that I need. One thing that I don't like about Abiword is that the devs keep adding new Gnome dependencies.

    Agreed....
    Abiword is everything you need.
I usually install from source to avoid the dependencies mentioned by oz .

In doing a little googling for alternative spread sheets, I came up with Gnumeric, Kspread, Abacus, ABS, GNU oleo, teapot, and Bean sheet. Has anyone tried these?
