hello
I received a (automated) PM asking me to introduce myself in this forum. I assumed there would be a sticky thread for all the intros but I guess I was wrong.
So I'm a beginner in GNU/Linux. I've been interested in it since about mid-2000 when I read more about open source software discovering the GPL and the free software philosophy. I heard about it before but it seemed complex to me. Getting back, so reading more, I got to know a bit more about Linux and discovered there was easier-to-use versions then made a choice. I went with the distribution that supported the most hardware and packages that I could see: Debian.
So I'm not good using Linux but when I can, I use it.
Also I'm using this site as it was Google top query for "linux forum".
Also I go from time to time on ##Linux of IRC network Freenode ; but I'm very often on freenode using the nickname DynV (or DynV_ or DynV__).Last edited by DynV; 12-17-2012 at 06:21 PM. Reason: this forum + IRC
