I've been trying out razorqt for the past week and find it more than satisfactory for my needs. Quick, good-looking, functional. This instance is with the 'buntu-based distro, Salent OS, from Italy. Based on 12.04.1, I find it better than its parent by a long shot.

Thanks, roky! I looked around there before posting my question but missed the patches page. Even when looking at all of them it's hard to tell if those are contributed by regular IceWM devs or they're simply individuals trying to submit improvements. Hopefully at least some of the patches will be implemented and a new IceWM release will come out soon.

I tried razorqt a couple of releases ago and thought it had potential to be one of the really good desktops Although it wasn't quite ready at that time. I may have to give it another try at some point.

No desktop environment... just Fluxbox, Rox and some DE-independent apps.

    Anyone ever used EDE?

I found a CD i burned a while ago, its a ubuntu remix with EDE as the main desktop. Have to say i really like it...
Running it on my laptop. Very low on resources, only using 330MB of RAM with Firefox running.
Distro is available of the EDE official website under the news archive for anyone wanting to give it a spin.

    Highly recommend it
