A pretty 'sick' one if you're in kick-ass action mode, i'd say, "Doomsday" (200eight) with Rhona Mitra.

Oddly, I've never even heard of it, but upon checking it out at the database I see that the cast is loaded with highly skilled individuals. Will try to get a look at this one!

Oz, State of Play is set in Washington, D.C. and touches on a lot of subjects that can not be mentioned at LF!! If I ever come across a " Director's Cut "
of this movie I'm going to buy it right away!!

I've been wanting to watch Haywire for a while and finally got around to it last night:

It's not a great movie but definitely worth a rental. The casting is good and mixed martial artist, Gina Carano, seriously kicks some butt in several of her fight scenes.

Forgot to mention another good one that I watched a few nights ago called Samsara:

It is perhaps not quite as good as Baraka (also filmed by Fricke and Magidson), but it's very close:

Both films are very much worth having in your private collection and highly recommended!

Just finished watching Dredd:

For those of you that like shoot'em ups loaded with non-stop violence, fast-paced action, and plenty of blood and gore, this is the movie for you! I enjoyed it thoroughly, but probably won't be suggesting it to my wife.

I watched Brothers yesterday:

Brothers (2009) - IMDb

The casting and the story itself were good but the film moves a bit slowly in places. Natalie Portman was excellent in her role as usual, and Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire were very convincing as brothers.

Worthy of a rental if you like serious dramatic films.

I just watched Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Alan Alda in " Tower Heist "!! It was a nice comic change of pace for me!!

Earlier today, I watched Melancholia starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Kiefer Sutherland:

This one is an "end of the world" sci-fi flick, and more a psychological drama than it is strict science fiction, but it's very good nonetheless.

Highly recommended!

A nice little flick my wife and I saw recently, "chronicle", we both liked it. Worthy of at least a rental. IMDB gives it a 7.1.

Saw a few minutes worth of Chronicle stunts and special effects on satellite tv the other night and decided to order it. Blu-ray delivery is scheduled for Wednesday so hoping to see the whole film later that evening!
