    I've been listening to Smashing Pumpkin's Gish (1991) and am reminded how creepy/beautiful they were. A really incredible debut album (in an era of incredible competition). Two good examples of the harder sound on the album are Siva and I Am One.

    Also good, but not quite as rockin' is Pisces Iscariot (1994). I particularly dig Obscured, haunting...

    Thanks, roky. Just as interesting, however (to me at least), is the definition of "morpheme" -- something I did not learn in eighth-grade grammar at Smiley Wilson Middle School!

    BTW, only in TX are such names as Smiley and Deaf commonplace, it seems. . .
