I started out with RedHat years ago, but didn't get far. Then a job required I use Fedora 12, which worked out well for me. I now use Fedora 18.

Ubuntu 12.04LTS for about the last couple months. I tried to install Red Hat back in '99 on a PIII, 350MHz desktop without sucess when I got fed up with Windows '98. I bought an iMac shortly after(well, 2002) and didn't look back for 11 years until it died. Not having the money for a new iMac I simply got a couple older laptops and installed Linux on them and they run just as fast as the newer laptops without the cost.

Back when in high school we had a bunch of PC's loaded down with Ubuntu. I'm not sure to what version it was but it must have been ancient.

I have Sabayon installed on my laptop. I am liking it thus far. No issues I was not able to work around. Still looking to get all the FN keys working just haven't had the time to play with it.

I remember shying away from Fedora Core 1, thinking it would be full of bugs and lacking in stability and software choices. i stubbornly clung to Red Hat Linux 9 well into Fedora Core 3 before getting wise.
