Hi Folks
Hi everyone,
I felt compelled to introduce myself to you all after reading an auto-generated yet encouraging PM from one of the Administrators. So here I am, saying "hi".
I have lurked these forums on and off for a few years and have always found it a valuable source of information. My current distro is Debian 6 64 being run via VMware Player on Windows 7. Anyways, some newly-found free time will allow me to continue my Linux education and I look forward to learning from you all.

I do not respond to Private Messages asking for Linux help. Please, keep it on the public boards.

Greetings Crumbs... I never did Debian inside Windows. I started with dual-boot, and eventually ditched WindowsXP. It will be interesting to see where you go with your self-education. Good to have Windows as the norm for a beginner. However, I suspect you will eventually want to move on. Practice doing everything from command line (terminal) in Debian. IE: "top" to show processes, and kill them if necessary.
Best wishes..."Wisdom is justified of all her children"
