I started using GNU/Linux when I was about 17, and I'm 29 now so I've got a few more years on the clock than most people. I like to share my knowledge where possible, and I strongly believe in the GNU/Linux community. If you stick with it and allow people to help you through the difficult bits, I think you'll find it a rewarding experience.
