Good Morning
Well, as the initial PM suggested I am writing my introduction here and giving a tiny bit of background as to why I registered on LF.org. My name is Rob and I am currently studying to pass my Linux+ exams in an effort to attain a promotion at my current place of employment. I am a LAN Technician as of this writing but looking to migrate to a junior Linux admin position that is potentially opening up here. I am looking forward to learning new skills and techniques hopefully through the trials and errors of those before me on the board and better my own skills. I hope to look back on this post farther down the road and realize how little I knew when beginning here. I come from a casual Windows user background but want to delve deeper into this industry and make a career change (since it is where the work is). Wish me luck!

What he said! That's the way most of us do it, and it's a good idea to take plenty of notes along the way so that when you do goof up and start over again you can save yourself a bit of time. I have a several stacks of notes that have accumulated over the years and really need to go through them all to do some thinning out...
