If your looking for a distro on a small desktop try Lubuntu is Ubuntu down and also zorin os lite but like in the other posts at top that most linux doesn't take a lot of resources but try those good luck

or Linux LIte - based on ubuntu. I like it very much - Actually has libre office on it
