    Greetings!

Hey there! I'm new to the Linux side of Operating Systems. I'm in college for Computer Networking and will eventually need to take a Linux class. I wanted to get a head start. Anyways, my question is: Which should I download? Ubuntu Linux or Mint?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I'd personally recommend trying either of them for a while, then trying the other to see which one best suits your tastes and computer hardware. Both are considered good options for new users.

Hope you will find yourself enjoying Linux.

Thanks! I think I'm gonna start with Ubuntu then go to Mint.

I would recommend finding out which distro your Linux class will use and get comfortable with that. While you will get experience from another distro, if you really want to have a head start use what they use.

I know a lot of Universities use SUSE, and quite a few use Fedora or Debian.
