    Nature Photographs!

When I got off of the bus today at the Staten Island Mall I saw these two geese leisurely walking through the parking lot heading for some grass. The only birds on Staten Island that are real leery of human beings are the sea gulls; most of the others look at you like your purpose in life is to give them something to eat.

I took a couple of pictures and when I put them into my computer I got the notion to start this thread because I know that some LF members are really into taking pictures of nature!

Those are Canada Geese. We have a lot of them in London too and they are famous for their boldness.

Excellent photo lucky. We get a lot of them here at the right times of year and they make a spectacular site and even better sound as they head for the lakes at dusk.
    What do we want?
    Time machines!

    When do we want 'em?
    Doesn't really matter does it!?

The only bad thing is you have to watch where you are walking to avoid their poop droppings!!

At one time I had several pet geese, and learned the truth to the sayings: "like **** through a goose", and "slicker than goose ****". They were prolific with their droppings, and it was extremely slick.

    Wild Turkey Turf!!

When I came out of my dentist's office today I encounter these
Wild Turkeys basking around a tree. The people that live upon Staten Island's South Shore have to deal with the continuing turkey population growth and their disregard of traffic laws and property rights!!

You want to be careful with those, Lucky! Turkeys can be very vicious.

Yes Indeed Hazel!! There is a large herd of wild turkeys down by the beach that have hurt some people.
The turkeys near my dentist's office will leave you alone as long as you stay on the paved sidewalk.
The grass belongs to them and they will glare at you if so much as put one foot on their grass!
