The year of the Linux car?

As some of our American friends and cousins seem to be rather obsessed with cars, and certain peevish types have queried the relevance of this to Linux, here is a little article on the use of Linux in cars!

Hazel, being without a car now is hard but in New York City a car just opens you up to unlimited extortion!!

I have been told that you can't survive anywhere in the US without a car. Fortunately we are more civilised on this side of the pond. I have never had a car. Public transport in London is excellent and retired people can use it for free. In any case I walk wherever possible.

Hazel, sometimes folks are forced to take a taxi or car service for places that take far too long by public transportation. As a senior citizen i pay half fare on the buses and trains which is $1.25 now. Owning a house or a car in this city means getting bled each and every day by fees, tolls, insurance, gas, etc. etc. etc.
