Help with new desktop idea needed

OK so I have this idea for a new type of virtual desktop. the desktop would be larger than the screen, and when you toggle the view lock, you will be able to move the curser around the desktop, toggling it on lets you move the cursor around the screen. you could still move the cursor around windows when the view lock is off, but the view would be moving around aswell, making it a little harde to make sence of what's going on. the user would be able to set hot-spots to different locations on the desktop and/or specific windows. the cursor movement and view movement when moving around the desktop would be very similar to the way the cursor and view moves around with a zoomed view on a Mac, just, not zoomed in. if you need more specific details about the formulas, or how the gui would look, just let me know. so, I guess what I need help with is making this system a reallity.

    Hello and welcome!

I've moved this thread to the Coffee Lounge, where it is more appropriate.

Can you be more specific about what (form of) help you need?

How would this be different than the "virtual desktops" with a sticky pass through to the next desktop that I have been using since 1992?
