    Howdy, depending on which Distro you're running Linux can be easy to pretty intensive. Mint is kind of in the middle and reminded me too much of a Windows based Op System to really like it much. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04LTS and really love it. I love the look and "feel" of it and it's very intuitive for me having come over from Mac OS X 10.3.9. Anyway, welcome to the forums and hope you enjoy it here, I know I am.

    hey nasir001, welcome to the club.

    the 1st thing to do w/Linux is open up the hood. get inside and poke around. the terminal is where to start and reading man pages is where you should spend a lot of your time (at first).
