We're not supposed to talk politics here so I'll just give you the link.

Although I never had occasion to use this site, I feel very sad that its owner felt the need to do this. What kind of world are we being forced to live in these days?

A world of our own making. We voted for these idiots and we let them do this to us.

The question is how do we put the genie back in the bottle?
    What do we want?

You are assuming that we had any real choice in who got voted in. Acknowledging the no politics discussion here, I'll only ask a couple of rhetorical questions. When you last voted for your MP, did it make a difference to who got elected? If the other candidate had got in, would their policy on privacy and security have been any different?

You can't put the genie back in the bottle - you have to set it free. You need a new political/security framework that completely replaces the broken one.

To US citizens -- if voted for any Republican administration since Nixon -- you got what you voted for. Now, they want to shut the federal agencies down in retaliation for threatening to lessen profits for Big Medicine!

Genie in the bottle? No such human power can do so.

Don't know if ya'll have watched "Atlas Shrugged" part 1 and 2 on Netflix yet but if not give it a watch and it'll scare you to death at how accurate a book that came out in 1957 was about what's going on today. Can't wait for part 3 to come out, should be this year with any luck.

As my dad used to say, the last people we should trust with political power are the ones who want political power. The older I get and the more I see, the wiser I think he was.
