    It's been known for some time that women tend to have more connections between the two halves of the brain. What seems to be new is that men have more front-to-back connectivity. Of course we're talking about averages here. I bet there are plenty of individual men and women who don't match the stereotypes.

    It would be interesting to know where transsexuals lie on this spectrum. We know that there is a specific nucleus in the hypothalamus which is systematically larger in men and seems to be connected with gender identity. Trans men are known to have small ones like women; gay men have normal sized ones.
