Listening to Pacifica radio's show of World Music and they are focusing on Brazilian music and playing some great Elaine Elias jams.

I recently listened to Slaveya - On The Village Square. It's a collection of Bulgarian / Balkan folk songs. I can't find any of the songs online, but "Sabrali sa se Sabrali" is an excellent song sung by the same group of people.

They are very catchy and will almost certainly get stuck in your head given time.

From my good friends at Special Consensus. Greg Cahill, the leader of the band, and banjo player is the teacher of my band's banjo player Burt Brown. This is from their just-released album tribute to John Denver, Country Boy.

They were Grammy nominated, and were 2nd in the 2013 Grammy voting for best bluegrass album of the year for Scratch Gravel Road.

Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
