Mageia 4 Xfce but using Kwin as the window manager and showing Conkybots which is my hobby project.

I have to thank ANewHope for the idea of using Kwin with Xfce which I had never considered...

    Something unexpected happened...

I did my usual thing of downloading the latest Ubuntu (14.04) to see how bad it is; It's actually surprisingly good. I've been using it on my playputer for a few days without a single crash and it's lighter and faster any Ubuntu since 11.10.

I created my own theme which I call Ambiance-Blue. It's based of a theme called Ambiance-Grey and if any Ubuntu user is daft enough to want a copy just drop me a PM. It may not be complete - I haven't messed about with the GTK2 stuff at all.

I don't think it'll replace SolydXK on my main boxes but who knows...

[edit]If you like the LFO style, drop a PM also and I'll reply with the Stylish sheet.[/edit]

My latest Manjaro/Xfce install. Bottom panel is set to Auto Hide so you can't see it in the pic.

So I got as far as putting Ubuntu on my main computer before I found out that you can't move the launcher bar. This made me unreasonably angry and after much Intenet searching and swearing, I finally thought F|_|*K this and grabbed Xubuntu 14.04 (the only thing making me angry was the inability to move the launcher). I realise that I could have just installed xubuntu-desktop but don't forget unreasonably angry and formatting the f|_|*ker was quite theraputic.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I had just got this set up when my brain started to wonder if we could use wmctrl to move it. Sometimes I hate being me!

Acer C710 ChromeBook came in today.
Price was cheaper than a Windows DVD.

Well E, isn't this is why we have playputers and virtual machines? So we can play with them, swear a lot, and have some geek-tech fun?
