Scouting

Have you ever been a scout or in the scouting movement
they are seen as geeks etc but (here atleast) they really arnt lol
anyway wonder how many are?

I was an "Explorer Scout", a part of the Boy Scouts sort of. Back when I did it, it was a couple of ex-marienes taking us on crazy camping adventures. Now-a-days, they have Computer Explorer Scouts where they teach you Linux and have LAN parties. How cool is that?!

i was in cub scouts and then after that made it into boy scouts and would have gone for my eagle if we wouldnt have moved away to a place that didnt have boy scouts

I made it to Life (Rank before Eagle) and most of the way to Eagle, but I went to college early and didn't finish my Eagle...

My advice to anyone in scouts currently: GET YOUR EAGLE! I regret not doing it and probably will for a while...

A long time ago I was a cub scout, but for a little while.
I've looked at the organization since, and I honestly dislike the whole thing, too many idealogical flaws in the layout.
I don't really reccomend scouting to anyone.

lol i have never heard of an eagle scout
what is it like etc?
the uk system is so different heres how it goes

beavers (6-, cubs (8-10), Scouts (10-14), explorer scouts (14-1, network (18-abouts 25) then leadership
