has any one see the latest issue of LinuxUser and developer. I saw it yesterday at books a million. It contained two linux distros, i forgot ther names but they started with A an U. The u one was a favorite for music artists. does anyone know what distros i am talking about and are they worth trying?

According to http://www.linuxuser.co.uk/, the two free distros are:

    Cover CD
The latest versions of Knoppix and FreeSBIE

According to The Linux User & Developer website, the cover CDs with the latest version are Knoppix and FreeSBIE. I'm not sure what issue you saw at the bookstore though...

Also, I noticed they're giving away the full retail box of SuSE 9.2 with a subscription. Now *that* is a deal, IMO.

EDIT::Haha. You beat me to it, jeremy. :P

saying that they start with an A is like going to a baseball game and say look at the guy in the hat.

seriously there are atleast 20 that start with an A and none that i could see started with a you. now there are 4 or so that start with a 'u'. ubuntu is one does that sound familiar?

    Issue 45
    Issue 44

Hmm.. Perhaps I should just point you to their search engine... it's on the main page. You can search by issue number ("45", "44", "46"). You may eventually find what you want. haha.

The distro for muscians is AGNULA (A GNU/Linux Audio distribution)
Of which there are two versions
Debian based DeMuDi (this is the one that was on the cover disk)
    Redhat based ReHMuDi
