Is KDE unable to produce sound in this application. Are there other applications where this is so?
    Also-
Is it possible to switch between Gnome, KDE and whatever on the fly or must you reboot when you want to do this?
It's just KDE where flash gets no sound. Tried that artsd command to open a new instance of my browser--still no sound. But it's easy enough to ctrl+alt+Backspace, choose Gnome and log back in for long enough to do what I want and switch back.

Only other sound related issue I have is Core 3 not knowing what Midi Sequencer I have. So I can't play or compose (not that I did any of that anyway.)

EDIT: Well, a yum update later and all of a sudden sound works in flash. I don't remember changing anything-so I guess it'll be chalked up to good luck.

I've had no trouble running Flash animations with sound in KDE. I'm using 3.4 right now and I like it.
