    As a university student, it's all about free stuff. I tried it mostly out of curiosity but ultimately decided for it because it was free .

    That's one of the biggest reasons I'm using Linux right now. It's a whole lot better than paying $140 - $300 for an OS, especially when you're a student. Plus, I wanted to find out what the fuss was all about....

    Linux is stable, way more secure than Windows, is good for programming purposes, customizable, ...

    but what makes it really attractive is the price.

    you cant beat something thats free, stable, has a shed load of apps for free, bypasses the spyware/adware/virus crap in my opinion.
    You know, aliens are going to come to earth in 50 years and kill the hell out of us for DDoSing their networks with this SETI crap
