    Well I do agree with all of the above, but the best part of Linux in my opnion is that it offers an easy, free alternative to Windows. So I voted that it was another option in OSes, which would also tie into the free part.

    Yes for me it mainly because of the other o.s. option but better security was one of the drivers for that.

    Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

    I like it for being GPL software, for the really huge amount of free software available for it, and because it's a UNIX-like OS.
