Hi, just joined myself. I work for a wholesale distribution company and maintain a small network of pc's (all microsoft at present) with the exception of our IBM AS400 server. Just recently completed an AAS in Midrange Computing. Have embarked on an AAS in Networking (Cisco track).

I run a small LAMP server based on Fedora Core 1 at home and my primary workstation currently dual boots Mandriva 10.1 and Win2K pro. I have been messing around with Linux for a couple of years now and love it. I am impressed with the open source movement and its development of software.

I look forward to participating in this forum and learning alot.

    Hello,I've been here 1 week.
Most people here likely chose Linux. I had it forced on me. To pay the bills I work with CNC's (think robotics). My cheapass employer replaced a proprietary controller with a linux setup due to a total meltdown. I was less than thrilled.
My attitude has changed. I now find linux very interesting and little addictive.
At times I will respond to a question with a question of my own. This is just my way of learning. Always feel free to correct me and as my signature says:
