With most directors I would be excited but not with
Michael Bay.I don't think I will even go and watch it
unless I hear amazing things about it.
Michael Bay is in talks to direct the DreamWorks/Paramount live-action adaptation of "The Transformers," Hasbro's popular 1980s toy line of giant robots that morph into cars, trucks, planes, ships and other technological creations.
By the way what came first , the animation series or the toy line ?

I thought they were sort of concurrent... like the toy series came out to get kids excited about the cartoon series.. but there were an awful lot more Transformers toys than ever made it on the series. I still fondly remember my die-cast metal Optimus Prime.

I was only vaguely aware that there was a toy line but
I've seen several episodes of the series and it was great.

The movie ought to be done by a Japanese director
and preferably in Japan.I think Hollywood will almost
certainly make a mess of it.
