i don't dual boot, but i still use windows quite a bit... i make money cleaning all the crud from Window's gears (linux, in that analogy, probably runs on solar power)

I still have a Windows partition on this computer which has a duale boot with SuSE (I also have another Linux only computer). I use Windows fod my 3D CAD school work, and I have yet to find a Linux replacement. I also have an iPod, but if I ever give up Windows I can either use it on Linux or on my moms computer.

I dont use windows, i have no reason, i try not to depend on proprietary and stcky software, but to use free replacements every time it is availiable.

Well, i was stupid enaught to buy a damn minidisc, and because of sony, i cannot use the netmd to connect to linux, but i didnt installed wincrap for that it just does not worth it.

Instead i am looking as my next product an mp3 player that supports ogg (i dont care about the god damn wma or other proprietary formats)

All i want is a player with mp3 and the superior and open ogg, and linux suport, like the new iRiver ones.

Only if you want to run some specific games windows is rquired, but even for that, i will just pick up games that have linux ports (or free games even better)

Why so many people use wincrap?? Is it because the compluters are sold with that crap on the store? I can't see any other reason.

In window$ world you have expensive bad-designed software that is capable to run even more expensive software, and in the end you will see you bill... All you do is give your soul and money to Micro$$oft.

In linux world you have good (even if not always finished) programs, that have all the freedoms in the world, not only the freedom to use on a computer, but the freedon to do whatever you want with them. And from time to time you may pay for a game or some software less standard. And when you do that you know it is only for the plesure. You keep your soul.

I like k3b, but don't fully trust it for burning, and I am an itconsultant and most of my clients use windows... so I run a win2k server, a centos server, a fedora desktop(my main pc) a feather pvr, a winxp burning pc(running nero, now I know I can get this for nix, but I can't get other apps like iso buster etc) and I don't fully trust linux for burning yet.
I also have a winxp laptop, my wifes pc is also xp and have another older laptop that is currently running suse, but I need to lighten it and am going to try and get feather running on it.

NOPE! I only use my linux, what should I need windows for? More games would be handy, but in the future I'm pretty sure the only place you would see windows is on museums!

    Seconded.

However, I still dual boot, because there apps with no free replacements (damn it!!!) like macromedia products.
    Also, Im a hardcore gamer...

But in the end, if cedega gets so good that every single windows game will run on my Linux machine, provided that ATI releases drivers that dont suck, then Id seriously consider using Linux only. The problem that may arise is that my sister barely knows how to turn on a computer, so It would be a pain in the ass to teach her how to use Linux.... Hehe
