When I wanted to switch from Windows to Linux,
I had a dual-boot system for aprox. a month.
After I had sorted out everything which needed sorting out (which application to use for which purpose, hardware compability, etc.) I pulled the plug on Windows.
Then I cleaned up my cdrom's (phew... much Windows software which could be trashed) and got myself plenty empty space on the shelves...

Only use Windows for scanning if it's playing up in linux. (need to sort that out) and the odd game, tho i do tend to try games under cedega first.
As for my mp3 player, it works sweetly under linux. I haven't even tried it on my windows lol.
I got the one i got because the manufacturers claimed linux comaptibility.

Unfortunatley I have to, thanks to my mum. She uses this crappy winprinter I got free with my dell. So it doesnt work on Linux. Soon she's having her own comp so I will get rid of windows then.

I dumped Windows about 2 years ago, and haven't looked back. I did install vmware and XP about a month ago just to do it. Once installed I just sat and stared at XP and couldn't think of one practical thing to do with it. Also realized I would have to steal about $1,500 worth of software if I wanted to do anything worthwhile with it. So I removed XP later that day.
When I finally dumped Windows a couple years ago I did it from Linux with rm -rf /mnt/win. God that felt good.

After about 4 months of exclusive linux use, I decided to partition off 2 gigs and install windows again. just for kicks. like gimp said, after it was up and running, i just had nothing to do with it. I haven't booted to it since I installed it.
